What is BREEAM?

BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is a certification system from the UK, developed and administered by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). Launched in 1990 and applied in more than 100 countries, BREEAM has certified more than a million assessments from infrastructure, through building design, to existing assets.

What is BREEAM-NOR?

The Norwegian Green Building Council (NGBC), founded in 2010, is the National Scheme Operator for BREEAM in Sweden and adapts BREEAM to Norwegian conditions 2010. With BREEAM-NOR, it is possible to certify according to Norwegian rules and standards, but at the same time get a building that can be compared internationally.

What does it mean if a building is BREEAM-NOR certified?

A BREEAM-NOR certification can help reduce the operational costs of the building, with significant long term savings in terms of water and energy. This makes the building more attractive to sell, rent or retain.

At the same time, BREEAM-NOR helps you create healthy and safe places to live, work and learn.
